Michael McCune claims only
three jobs in his 58-years, real estate salesman/broker,
business owner and Deputy Sheriff. The haunting call to
return to the private sector after seventeen years with
the Shelby County Sheriff's Office could not be ignored.
Those years exposed "Mick" to a myriad of triumphs and a
few defeats. The experience of working in all aspects of
law enforcement helped him take the world head on and
appreciate the simple things that life has to offer.
Working throughout the
Fugitive, Patrol, Narcotics and Civil Division exposed
him to all aspects of life behind the badge. He's most
proud of his five year tenure with the Drug Interdiction
Unit, where his duties as a narcotics dog handler
enabled him to work with State and Federal agencies
throughout the United States. His personal best seizures
include over 300 pounds of marijuana and 175 pounds of
cocaine. In the ultimate compliment recognizing him as a
"cops cop", he was elected President of the Shelby
County Deputy Sheriffs' Association. In that capacity,
he represented over 400 full time Deputy Sheriffs as the
chief of their bargaining unit and worked with the
Administration daily to implement positive changes for
those men and women who put their lives on the line each
and every day. His retirement only accelerated his
desire to call the shots with this professional team
assembled to change the way security is perceived in the
Memphis market.
